  Phil Blythe

Phil is domiciled in the Auckland Region and travels nationwide with Holden Advanced Driver Training as one of our specialist instructors.  
He has also conducted tyre testing programs for Bridgestone New Zealand & is our principal Holden Hot Lap pilot.
His original background was in the motor vehicle industry and his extensive motorsport pedigree includes having previously raced speedway saloons, rally cars, karts, and a variety of circuit race cars.
He is the three time FMG Classic New Zealand National Champion.
Phil has been in impressive race form in his usual flamboyant crowd pleasing style.  
At Taupo Motorsport Park, he smashed his own existing lap record twice on the same day in his Holden Torana.   
In the 2007/2008 racing season, Phil won the Pro7 NI Championship Crown.
During the 2008/2009 racing season, Phil competed in the Pro7 finishing 2NZ in the New Zealand Championship and 3rd in the NI Championship.
This 2009/2010 racing season, Phil is currently leading the Pro7 NI Championship.
For the last 13 years Phil has concentrated on circuit racing and over the last 5 years has developed and run a successful motorsport team competing in National circuit racing series within New Zealand.
His passion and enthusiasium for motorsport is infectious and he is also dedicated to providing the "Holden V8 Race Experience" option to the public.
"Holden Race Experience" is your opportunity to drive our extensively modified race prepared V8 Holden Commodore at either Pukekohe Park Raceway or Manfeild Park Raceway whilst receiving expert tuition in car control and racecraft.

Phil also conducts one on one personal race driving tuition to existing and newer race drivers, which can be undertaken in their own race vehicles, or a supplied race vehicle.
He is vastly experienced at providing extreme Holden Hot Lap rides to previous passengers and celebrities.
Phil is eminently qualified and is the principal pilot of our race prepared V8 Holden Commodore Hot Lap vehicles.

  Stuart Roddick

Stuart is the Managing Director of Holden Advanced Driver Training and Holden Hot Laps and holds the nationwide position of Chief Instructor.
He was formally a member of the New Zealand Police, where he served as a member of the New Zealand Diplomatic Protection Squad for 3 years and also served as a Specialist Advanced Driving Instructor based at the Royal New Zealand Police College for the final 5 years of his 15-year career.
These roles involved the study, design and implementation of all facets of advanced and high speed driving techniques.  
Stuart was the original content design consultant for the highly acclaimed and successful ACC / Peter Brock TV commercial series.
He is currently certified as an Advanced Driving Instructor by the L.T.N.Z  and has been actively involved in advanced driving for over the last 25 years.
He is internationally recognised and regarded as an expert in the field of advanced, specialist and high speed driving techniques.
Due to Stuart's expertise and background, Holden Advanced Driver Training is exclusively contracted by the NZ Defence Force and other Government agencies to provide their specialist evasive and anti-terrorist training. 
Stuart has also been directly involved for numerous years with Bridgestone New Zealand in the specialist area of tyre testing & handling comparisons. 
He has also been utilised as the professional driver in TV commercials, vehicle evaluations, stunt driving and has undertaken numerous practical comparative handling and performance demonstrations for Bridgestone.
He is vastly experienced at providing extreme Holden Hot Lap rides to previous passengers and celebrities.
Stuart's extensive previous training, qualifications and expertise in a very diverse range of advanced driving roles qualifies him to be one of the selected drivers of our race prepared V8 Holden Commodore Hot Lap vehicles.

  Michael Bristow

Michael is domiciled in the Auckland region and works on contract as one of our Holden Hot Lap pilots and also as one of our specialist Holden Advanced Driving Instructors.  
Michael has already amassed an extensive motorsport pedigree which includes having previously raced and excelled in karting before moving on up to competing in the NZV8's.
He is the former New Zealand 125 National Karting Champion in 2003 & 2004 and the New Zealand Open Dirt Kart Champion in 2003 & 2004.
In 2004/2005 he was runner-up in the NZV8's (Tier 2) National Championship and in 2005/2006 he was 3rd overall in the Tier 2 NZV8 Championship.
Michael was also a successful graduate of the MotorSport New Zealand Elite Motorsport Academy in 2006.
In the 2007/2008 season, he competed in the NZV8 (Tier 2) Series in his Holden Hot Laps supported Holden Commodore, where he was the dominant and outstanding driver of the competition, subsequently clinching the NZV8 (Tier 2) National Championship at the final round at Manfeild.
At the earlier NZ Grand Prix Manfeild meeting, Michael created a new Manfeild track record in his Holden Hot Laps Holden Commodore, smashing the previous best lap time by nearly half a second. 
Michael has been identified and selected by Holden Advanced Driver Training as being a prodigious driving talent. 
His outstanding driving abilities were finally rewarded (being preferred over and subsequently replacing Australian V8 Supercar driver Cameron McLean) securing a NZV8 (Tier 1) drive for the final two rounds of the Championship at Levels and Teretonga, as well as competing in the NZV8's at the Hamilton V8 Supercar round.
In the 2008/2009 NZV8 Championship, Michael performed with distinction and he has also previously completed a test stint in an Australian V8 Supercar.
He has a true passion and enthusiasium for motorsport and demonstrates maturity and ability well beyond his years.
Michael is eminently qualified to pilot one of our race prepared V8 Holden Commodore Hot Lap vehicles

  Matt Lockwood

Matt is domiciled in the Auckland region and is the latest addition to our Holden Advanced Driving Team.
He is one of our specialist Holden Advanced Driving Instructors and one of our Holden Hot Lap pilots.  
Matt has an extensive motorsport pedigree which includes having previously raced and excelled in HQ Holden, Pro7 & BMW Mini before moving on up to competing in the NZV8 Brute's.
In the 2007/2008 summer season, Matt was initially competing in the Pro7 category achieving 3NZ in the New Zealand Championship and finishing 3rd in the NI Championship (behind our own Championship winning Phil Blythe)
Matt then competed in the NZV8 Brute racing Championship in his Holden Hot Laps supported Holden Commodore V8 Race Ute, where he was the dominant and outstanding driver of the competition, (with four round wins & two 2nds) subsequently resulting in him clinching the 2008 NZV8 Brute Championship crown.
In the 2008/2009 season Matt once again competed in the NZV8 Brute racing Championship, where he finished a close 2nd.
He also additionally competed in the Pro7 Plus category where he convincingly won the 2008/2009 National Championship.
Matt is again currently competing in the Pro7 Plus category where he is currently leading the 2009/2010 National Championship.
He is also currently competing in the North Island rounds of the current NZV8 Championship.
Matt has been identified and selected by Holden Advanced Driving as a driving talent who displays ability well beyond his years. 
Matt is eminently qualified to pilot one of our race prepared V8 Holden Commodore Hot Lap vehicles.

  Brodie Scott

Brodie is domiciled in the Central Taupo region.
He has worked on contract as one of our specialist Holden Advanced Driving Instructors and one of our Holden Hot Lap pilots.  
Brodie has an extensive motorsport pedigree which includes having previously raced go karts.
In the 2007/2008 racing season, Brodie competing in the Pro7 category achieving 2nd in the NI Championship (behind our own Championship winning Phil Blythe) and most recently, Brodie has been competing in the Pro7 Plus category.
Brodie has been identified by Holden Advanced Driving as a driver who displays ability. 
Brodie is eminently qualified to pilot one of our race prepared V8 Holden Commodore Hot Lap vehicles.
