In order to
ensure that staff and vehicle resources are in place to professionally
conduct the Holden Hot Lap sessions, it is essential that attendance
bookings are made and confirmed in advance.
Also, so as to minimise the likelihood of any time delays for the Holden Hot Lap
participants, we provide you with an "indicative" Holden Hot Lap experience time.
Any failure on your part to physically attend at the pre-booked allocated time
will result in
the forfeiture of your Holden Hot Lap experience thru your non-attendance or
late arrival.

We have an extensive range of safety helmets for our participants to utilise (size
XS to XXL)
Holden Hot Laps has an extensive selection of various sized racesuit
overalls for participants (XS to 5XL)
Our dedicated Holden Hot Lap vehicles are exclusively fitted with extra-wide
RaceTech race seats and fully adjustable 4-point race harness, so as to
easily and safely accommodate virtually all sizes of passengers.

What
about some of the "other" hot lap providers...?
A
Well... It's
good that you asked... As with most things in life, all things are not created
equal...
When looking at "Hot Laps" make sure you are comparing apples with
apples.
Caution!!!
Numerous fly by night less
professional providers have recently gone
out of
business leaving their would be clients very distressed and out of pocket...
Other supposed hot lap providers (Team Kiwi Racing) who have already previously
ripped off their customers before
and then gone belly up are back at it yet again trying
to once again sell gift vouchers for TKR Hot Lap days
that they don't actually do...
and then falsely and knowingly listing track dates that they don't even actually have
the race track
booked at all...
and they are now also "claiming" this time around that
they will take passengers at speeds of
"close to
300km/h" (Yeah Right!!!)...
in vehicles that they yet again don't currently have operational
(Heard that all before)...
with who knows who supposedly driving these imaginary missiles.
(Yeah Right!!!)
By way of very graphic example and cautionary warning of TKR's false
claims...
Holden Hot Laps had previously booked
the exclusive utilisation
Pukekohe Park Raceway
yet again
on Friday 18th December 2009,
for an exclusive Corporate group...
We had previously spoken directly with David John of TKR personally only 2-weeks
before
about his totally false performance claims and
also specifically highlighted his blatantly
incorrect
and falsely listed dates that he had "allegedly" conducted TKR days previously
at Pukekohe Park
We specifically advised
David that he was totally falsely advertising TKR being @ Pukekohe on the
18th December 2009, and that Holden Hot Laps were again exclusively there on
that date... and that Pukekohe Park had confirmed that they have absolutely no
track bookings for TKR what so ever!!!
David then claimed they were @ Pukekohe on the
19th December... They didn't front on 19th either
On the 18th December 2009,
there were a group of TKR participants who had paid TKR in advance,
pre-booked in and then turned up to the track with a very large group of family
and spectators all of
whom had travelled all the way down from Whangarei... with their written
confirmations from TKR,
only to find that TKR very obviously weren't there, that David John wouldn't
return their calls and
messages and that their pre-paid TKR vouchers weren't worth the paper they were
written on.
They were then even more amazed to be told by Pukekohe Park staff that TKR
hadn't previously
been at Pukekohe Park as they falsely claimed for months... and that the
subsequent dates that
TKR "claim and advertise" in 2010 are also totally false as the race track is
physically closed
on that date and that they haven't even heard anything from David John for many
months.
TKR's currently listed date
of Monday 15th February 2010 @ Manfeild is also entirely false
and bogus... as the 15th February 2010 is yet again another date @ Manfeild that
Holden
Hot Laps has exclusively pre-booked for our professional Holden Hot Laps
activities.
Despite all of this and our previously highlighting TKR's false
claims and bogus listed dates
directly to David John... As at the 28th December 2009... they
are still falsely advertising their
services and upcoming dates and trying to get money out of unsuspecting
customers!!!
If you still wish to
purchase and pay for any TKR vouchers... then that is entirely your choice
Best of luck in ever getting the service delivered as it is advertised or
getting your money back!!
Don't be deceived and ripped off yet again by TKR's totally incorrect and
false claims!!!
Be safe, Be sure and utilise New Zealand's only factory backed Holden Hot Laps
- Some other providers charge you more money for less laps... in their
substantially inferior road based vehicles.
- Then there
are some would be weekend warrior race drivers who will charge you money to take you in their old clapped out race cars for a spin...
(Literally)
- Also, there are some race drivers that do hot laps... but
only on about about 4 days in an entire year
("Do you have any other dates at Manfeild in the next
9 months... Yeah Right")
- Then there are the ones that sell you 3 hot laps... but the
first part of the ride is warming up and the last part of the supposed 3 lap
ride is letting the car cool down... so in effect you only get 2 flying laps
("But I thought I had paid for 3 flying laps... Yeah
Right")
- Likewise, there are some that will take you for a ride in their "mildly worked road cars"
that don't even utilise full protective rollcages or "older model
racecars with spongy brakes" or they struggle to find enough fitting racesuits &
safety helmet protective equipment for everyone...
("She'll be right, it always makes that funny noise... Yeah Right")
- Still "others" market and promote their old VT Commodore by the size
of its engine... but then the only track circuit that they actually exclusively hire is the small 1.5km hardly used
cheaper club training circuit out the back of the main Grand Prix race
track circuit where they are unable to even go fast.
("Hot Laps... Yeah Right... more like Not Laps")

wasn't what I thought I was paying for...")
- Still "others" actually try to do hot laps while having 4 people in
the same modified road car all at once.
("Yes please, pick me to be one of the two back seat
passengers") ("That
wasn't what I thought I was paying for...")
- Some "other" hot lap providers only
utilise mildly modified "look the part" road cars, which are even
still running the original "automatic transmissions" with standard brakes and the
original rear seat!!!
("Hot Laps in a race car... Yeah Right... How many race
cars have you seen with automatic transmissions")

wasn't what I thought I was paying for...")
- There
are even some "other" hot lap providers who have given a number of their passengers the
truly unforgettable lifelong memory of being in mildly modified road vehicles that have been repeatedly launched of the
race track at high speeds and smashed into concrete walls and Armco, writing off the vehicles!

sign up for that type of ride... Yeah Right")
- Then there are the "other" hot lap providers who are
quite happy to have taken your money 9 mths ago, but still haven't managed to
actually get around to actually providing you with the hot laps yet due to
ongoing repeated "car
problems" or non-disclosed lack of a car at all, or the fact that they only do a few days a year... (keep waiting)
- Then there are the "other" hot lap providers who
will only utilise
one venue so as to save themselves money... while costing you lots of wasted
time and wasted money to have to travel to them
(Why would you agree to travel the length of the North Island at your expense to
go for a 3-lap ride in a dodgy old look alike car...)

it still proceed if it is wet...?
A Yes...
Generally
speaking, rain will not adversely affect the Holden Hot Laps sessions...
unless
in the opinion of the experienced Holden Hot Laps staff that the prevailing weather and/or
track conditions have become too extreme and are unsuitable to safely continue.
In this respect, their considered expert decision regarding operational safety will be
binding, final and absolute.
The safety of our participants and our professional drivers is paramount and
will not be compromised for convenience.
We will take all practical and necessary steps to ensure that the Holden Hot Lap
sessions are at all times conducted safely and professionally.
Holden Hot Laps is exclusively factory backed and supported by
Bridgestone New Zealand.
We therefore have the safety and assurance of only utilising premium Bridgestone
performance tyres that provide our Holden V8 race vehicles with the absolute
second to none optimum tyre adhesion in all conditions.

we get to drive the Holden Hot Lap vehicles...?

Given the
large amount of time, effort and money that has gone into creating the Holden Hot Lap vehicles and also so as to ensure our participants personal safety, the
vehicles will only be driven by professional drivers specifically approved and
authorised by Holden Advanced Driver Training during the Holden Hot Lap sessions.
During the
Holden Hot Laps experience the vehicles will be being driven in an extreme manner, near the maximum limits of
tyre adhesion and therefore the personal physical driving
abilities of the specially selected and exclusively trained drivers needs to be of the absolute highest standard.
However...
we are able to provide the exclusive additional option of the Holden Race Experience
Where you get to drive one of our extensively modified race prepared V8 Holden
Commodores on either the full 3km NZ Grand Prix Manfeild circuit or Pukekohe Park Raceway with one on one expert race driving tuition
from one of our specialist Holden Race Experience Instructor.
