HOT LAPS @ CHRISTCHURCH
Situation
NZV8 Hot Laps principally utilises Manfeild in
the Manawatu and Pukekohe Park in Auckland as the primary venues for our Holden
V8 Hot Laps activities...
However, subject to venue availability and
sufficient attendee numbers we do transport either one or both of our Holden V8 race vehicles down to the South Island
generally 2-3 times per year.
We utilise the
Powerbuilt Raceway, Ruapuna which is situated 13km south-west of Christchurch on Hasketts Road between the Main South and Main West Highways.
Powerbuilt Raceway is the centre of this
multi motorsports facility which incorporates the circuit, drag strip and
speedway all in close proximity to each other. This is easily the South Island's premier
driving facility.
Facilities
NZV8 Race Experience generally utilises the Level
2 Powerbuilt Lounge corporate hospitality area and adjoining balcony area
overlooking the race circuit as its principal operational base, along with the
Pit Lane garaging.
There is somewhat limited food options available
5 minutes drive from the venue at Templeton.
On-site catering may be available
by prior arrangement for corporate or special events subject to numbers etc.
Accommodation
There is a numerous selection of hotels and motels
in Christchurch and districts.
Whenever our V8 Race Experience Team are in Christchurch, they prefer to
stay at the Chardonnay Motor Inn.
Nearest Major Airport
Christchurch International Airport.
Rental Vehicle
Locations
AVIS & Thrifty Car Rentals are available from both Christchurch City and the Airport.
Frequency of Visits
We conduct driver training in the South Island generally
3-4 times a year subject to demand and availability.
We would usually do 2-3 consecutive
days per visit.
V8 Hot Laps is only conducted at Ruapuna subject to minimum attendance
numbers making it financially viable to warrant the extra cost of transporting
our two Holden V8 Hot Laps
vehicles down throughout the South Island.

Thursday 10th May & Friday 11th May 2012
Available positions are strictly limited and are allocated on a first come,
first reserved basis.
(Primary V8 Hot Lap day is Friday the 11th May 2012)
(Primary V8 Race Experience day is Thursday 10th May 2012)
Prior confirmed bookings are essential and can be arranged by ringing our office

Subsequent NZV8 Hot Lap dates @ Ruapuna after these dates are currently
envisaged around August/September 2012.
